Artist`s Statement:
" Painting the beauty of nature and of the human spirit, is what I strive for.
My passion for painting may be driven by the thrill of a turbulent towering thunderhead, before a storm; or by the soft silken skin tones of a childs face. I try to speak of this emotional response to natures beauty through the painted word."
Evelyn Valdez Martinez

Evelyn has studied with, as well as conducted workshops forĀ Kim English andĀ Zhiwei Tu. She currently teaches workshops and classes at her own studio, 'Art on Monaco' at 6450 E. Colfax Avenue and en Plein Aire. Evelyn studied with Kim English for over 15 years at the Art Students League of Denver, as well as having her private studio at the Art Students League for over five years.
