( This very large oil painting was realized, after an exciting Plein Air - In the Wildeness, Oil Painting trip, through New Mexico. I toured and painted the badlands of New Mexico and also along the Rio Chama and the Rio Grande.
Before leaving for Colorado and home; I stopped in Taos, to visit friends, and my gallery, "Nichols Fine Art Gallery". I took a drive around town and came upon this beautiful pastoral scene,and Taos Mountain; so different from the wilderness of New Mexico. I was inspired to paint its tranquility.
